Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

We accept credit cards Visa, Mastercard and Delta.

Shipping And Handling

For orders from mainland U.K. delivery prices are included in the total purchase price unless otherwise stated. For all other delivery destinations please email us with your requirements and we will be pleased to quote you a total price including delivery.

Delivery Schedule

Due to the nature of the product being handcrafted and demand delivery times if not in stock can be approx 2/4 weeks depending on requirements this can be confirmed on placing an order either by phoning Julie on 01226 762088 or email julie@victorianlighting.co.uk

Please ensure that there is someone at the delivery address on the day scheduled for delivery/available to help the driver where necessary to unload and take the items to the delivery destination.

Please do not sign for or accept any goods until unpacked and checked in full. Only sign if you are satisfied with the condition of your purchase. Items which have been signed for are deemed to be in good condition, and we cannot then accept claims for damage. If someone else is signing for the goods on your behalf you agree to accept full responsibility for any loss if they sign on your behalf and fail to check.

Installation

Once we have delivered your product, you are responsible for storage and installation. We recommend that you do not book a date for fitting until the item has been delivered.

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is included.

Credit Card Security

All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Guarantee

If you are not absolutely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the goods within 7 days and we will refund your money or replace the goods. This guarantee is in addition to and in no way affects your statutory rights.

Returns Policy

We strive to supply goods in excellent condition. Faulty or incorrectly received goods must be notified to us in writing within 3 days of the date received. We will inspect the goods by asking you to return to Victorian Lighting Company. On receipt and inspection of the goods, if we agree that the fault be deemed the responsibility of Victorian Lighting Company, then at your choice we will replace, refund or repair (if possible). Refund will be given for the full amount paid for the goods and any reasonable costs (if unsure please check with us) YOU prove that you have incurred in returning the faulty goods to Victorian Lighting Company. We recommend that you keep postal receipts for this purpose. If the item proves not to be faulty when tested than only the product value will be refunded.

Under the Consumer Protection (distance selling) Regulations 2000 (UK Law Directive 97/7/EC), mail order, telephone and internet sales to individuals (not businesses) can return the product purchased anytime within 7 days for a full refund on the product costs. The goods must be returned to us in good condition, they must be well packed, have not been fitted or used in any way. The goods must be unmarked and free from blemishes of any kind and they must arrive in a re-saleable condition. We advise contacting Victorian Lighting Company to advise of any return and recommend that YOU obtain adequate carrier insurance and proof of return.

After the 7 days has elapsed in every case a re stocking charge will be made of 25%. We will make a deduction from any refund to cover the full cost of delivery. In every case the invoice number and date together with the reason must be stated.
